This week we're reviewing two, rather contrasting, products.

First up is Skinetica Anti-Blemish

I was a little bit cautious about using such an apparently astringent product on my delicate, and rather sensitive, skin.  But as it happened, on the day the box arrived a couple of unsightly spots were forming right in the middle of my face. Well, one was under my jaw, but you get my point. With an important lunch just a few days away, I thought I might as well give it a go. Good decision. This solution, while smelling quite strong, is actually rather gentle. But it's effective all right. And quick.  As instructed I applied the lotion to the affected area twice a day for three days. Immediately the area felt calmed and soothed. Within a day the blemishes were visibly reduced and, by the third day had all but disappeared. Big tick.

My second choice is Yves Rocher Moisturising Cream Lipstick in Framboise.

This creamy formula provides a pigment-rich smooth and satiny finish. It applies easily and lasts well. Entirely non-sticky, it seemed to plump out my lips and left them very soft and not at all dry. The colour came as a bit of a shock. A bright, strong deep cherry-red, I must admit that I felt sure I would never take to it. However, it was very flattering to my very pale skin and I can also say that it stood the colour-change test from blonde to dark redhead pretty well too!
